Packaging

Packaging now is more important than ever. As I'm being more conscious in my day to day choices to do with the environment, I wanted Nappy Rebels to stay true to my values. 

On Instagram I did a questionnaire to help me make my decisions on packaging. So, I’ve decided to post the majority of my nappies in mailers, Made from a combination of corn-based biopolymers, the Compostable Mailer composts in 6 months (180 days) and is certified for both home and commercial compost.

These mailers gives people the choice to use the mailer for another purpose after as they have a 2nd stick line to reseal the bag again. Plus they take up less space if being held onto for a 2nd life. 

Boxes will be used for bigger orders with paper tape. The reason why I’m not doing all boxes is I feel they take up space in the recycling bins that are probably full already and people are less likely to reuse. 

I'm keeping my packaging to an absolute minimum. If at all you have any opinions on this please feel free to get in touch. 

Please note that I will be reusing any mailers or boxes I have accumulated from time to time.
